Maximum Allowable Period Of Detention
Notwithstanding
anything contained elsewhere in this Chapter, no accused shall be
held in detention for a period exceeding the maximum term of the
sentence of imprisonment than can be imposed on him or her if the
charge made against him or her is proved.
